Staff Academy lesson 6 of 12
Ask for enrollment directly and respectfully
When program fit, terms, and questions are clear, make a simple recommendation and ask for a decision.
Learning objective
Staff can ask for enrollment without apologizing, pressuring, or talking past the answer.
Sample language
“You said [goal] matters most, and [program] is the best fit we have for that. Would you like to enroll for [start date]?”
Use this as a structure. Replace every bracketed field and follow the school’s approved terms and language.
Coaching points
- Earn the recommendation through discovery and a real trial experience.
- Ask one clear question, then allow silence.
- If the answer is not yet, agree on a specific next step or close the loop.
- Record the actual result rather than leaving every prospect indefinitely open.
Practice scenario
A family had a positive trial and has no unanswered questions, but the staff member keeps adding information instead of asking.
Role-play scorecard
- Connected recommendation to goal
- Made a clear ask
- Allowed an answer
- Recorded the next step
Apply it to real work
Use the direct enrollment question in one appropriate real conversation.
Completion evidence: The lead timeline records the ask and the person’s actual response.
