Staff Academy lesson 3 of 12
Explain programs and pricing clearly
Connect the appropriate program to the visitor’s stated goal, then explain the complete price and commitment without hiding material terms.
Learning objective
A prospective member can repeat what is included, what it costs, and what decision is being requested.
Sample language
“Based on [goal], I’d start with [program]. It includes [items]. The price is [amount] on [cadence], plus [required fees]. The agreement and change policy are [plain-language terms].”
Use this as a structure. Replace every bracketed field and follow the school’s approved terms and language.
Coaching points
- Use the approved price and current written terms.
- State required enrollment, equipment, testing, or cancellation costs before asking for a decision.
- Distinguish an optional recommendation from a requirement.
- Pause for questions and verify understanding.
Practice scenario
A parent asks for “the real monthly total” after seeing a promotional intro offer.
Role-play scorecard
- Named the right program
- Disclosed material costs
- Explained commitment accurately
- Invited questions
Apply it to real work
