From 10th kyu white belts to dan grades, the path is long and the testing calendar never stops. Put it on rails.
- Kyu → dan ladders — build your full progression in rank tracking: 10th kyu down to 1st kyu, then shodan and up, each grade with its own class and time-in-rank requirements. Run separate ladders for kids and adults.
- Testing cycles & belt-test events — schedule quarterly gradings as events with disabled-by-default member registration and an indicative testing fee when useful. The pilot records the fee but does not collect it online. Eligible students get flagged beforehand, so roster preparation takes minutes, not a weekend with the attendance book.
- Kata, kihon & kumite on the schedule — run them as their own classes so every session shows up on the calendar, and let each kyu’s requirement count real check-ins for the program — “30 classes and 90 days since your last grading,” straight from the kiosk.
- Kids & parents in one household — two siblings in Little Dragons and a parent in the adult class: group them in a household, with three separate program enrollments and rank journeys. Core checkout passed sandbox testing; live card billing remains gated on approval and release sign-off.
