Your kids’ karate ladder isn’t your adult BJJ ladder
Generic gym software gives you one “levels” field and calls it a day. Dojo Wizard gives every program its own rank ladder, because that’s how real schools run.
- Any progression system — BJJ belts with four stripes each, karate kyu and dan grades, taekwondo geup, or Muay Thai khan armbands. If it’s a ladder, you can build it.
- One ladder per program — Little Dragons, adult karate, and the competition team each follow their own ranks and their own requirements.
- Multi-program students — a student who trains BJJ and Muay Thai holds a separate rank in each, advancing on each program’s terms.
- Families track separately — the whole household grouped on one record, but every kid earns their own stripes at their own pace.

Eligibility rules
Set the class and time requirements once. Dojo Wizard keeps the count.
Every rank on every ladder can require a minimum number of classes AND a minimum number of days since the last promotion. Dojo Wizard tracks both from check-ins and flags students the moment they qualify.
Set per-rank requirements
Give each rank its own bar: minimum classes attended and minimum days since the last promotion. Blue-to-purple can demand more than white-to-blue.
Let check-ins do the math
Every kiosk scan ticks the counters. When a student clears both thresholds, they’re flagged ready to test — no binder, no spreadsheet, no “coach, am I close?”
Instructors get a live list of everyone who’s eligible — so test day is a decision, not a research project.
From eligibility to ceremony
Promotion history, belt tests, and the big day
Eligibility is only half the job. Dojo Wizard carries each promotion through to the test, the ceremony, and the permanent record.
Complete promotion history
Review every promotion recorded in Dojo Wizard with its recorded date. Historical ranks from another system require a reviewed migration scope; they are not self-imported.
Belt-test events
Schedule a test as an event and deliberately open free member registration when ready. Staff still confirm eligibility, fees outside the pilot, and the final test roster.
Record each promotion
After the test, record each student who passed one at a time. Counters reset, the next rank’s requirements begin, and accepted member portals reflect the current progress.
Announce it
Publish dashboard announcements and show them in the invited web portal today. Push notifications remain planned.
