Your kids’ karate ladder isn’t your adult BJJ ladder
Give every program its own names, sequence, and requirements instead of forcing the entire school into one generic level field.
- Any progression system — BJJ belts with four stripes each, karate kyu and dan grades, taekwondo geup, or Muay Thai khan armbands. If it’s a ladder, you can build it.
- One ladder per program — Little Dragons, adult karate, and the competition team each follow their own ranks and their own requirements.
- Multi-program members — a member who trains BJJ and Muay Thai holds a separate rank in each, advancing on each program’s terms.
- Families track separately — keep household context together while every member earns ranks at their own pace.

Eligibility rules
Set the class and time requirements once. Dojo Wizard keeps the count.
Each rank can require a minimum number of same-program classes and elapsed days since the previous promotion. Dojo Wizard tracks both and shows eligibility on the individual member profile.
Set per-rank requirements
Give each rank its own bar: minimum classes attended and minimum days since the last promotion. Blue-to-purple can demand more than white-to-blue.
Let check-ins do the math
Each same-program check-in updates the class counter. When both thresholds are met, the member profile shows the member as eligible for instructor review.

Promotion history, belt tests, and the big day
Use eligibility as a starting point, organize the test, record the instructor’s decision, and preserve the promotion history.
Complete promotion history
Review every promotion recorded in Dojo Wizard with its recorded date. Historical ranks from another system require a reviewed migration scope; they are not self-imported.
Belt-test events
Schedule a test as an event and deliberately open free member registration when ready. Staff still confirm eligibility, fees outside the pilot, and the final test roster.
Record each promotion
After the test, record each member who passed one at a time. Counters reset, the next rank’s requirements begin, and accepted member portals reflect the current progress.

The invited web portal shows current and next-rank progress for each active program.
