Recommend relevant events, lessons, and equipment
Connect optional services to a student’s training goal rather than promoting every available product to everyone.
Learning objective
A recommendation clearly explains who it helps, why it is relevant, what it costs, and whether it is optional.
Sample language
“Because you’re preparing for [goal], [clinic/private lesson/event] could help with [specific need]. It costs [amount], and it is optional. Would you like the details?”
Use this as a structure. Replace every bracketed field and follow the school’s approved terms and language.
Coaching points
- Start with a documented training need or expressed interest.
- State price, prerequisites, capacity, and refund rules accurately.
- Do not imply an optional purchase is required for rank advancement unless written school policy says so.
- Record the recommendation in the Academy application note or the school’s approved process; structured member attribution remains planned.

A student is preparing for a competition, and the school offers an optional clinic and private-lesson package.
