Staff Academy lesson 11 of 12
Ask for referrals and honest reviews
Recognize earned advocacy moments and make a short, pressure-free request that follows published program terms.
Learning objective
Staff can ask at the right moment without scripting the member’s opinion or misrepresenting a reward.
Sample language
“I’m glad [specific experience] went well. If you know someone who would benefit from the program, we’d be grateful for an introduction. And if you choose to review us, please share your honest experience.”
Use this as a structure. Replace every bracketed field and follow the school’s approved terms and language.
Coaching points
- Reference a real positive moment.
- Ask for an honest review rather than a five-star review.
- Explain referral rewards exactly as the written program defines them.
- Do not repeatedly ask the same member or gate service behind participation.
Practice scenario
A parent thanks the team after a child reaches an important training milestone.
Role-play scorecard
- Named the earned moment
- Kept the request optional
- Asked for honesty
- Explained terms accurately
Apply it to real work
Make one appropriate advocacy request and record whether it was welcomed.
Completion evidence: The lesson has an application note describing the request and whether it was welcomed. Structured referral-response attribution is not currently modeled.
