Staff Academy lesson 12 of 12

Run a ten-minute enrollment and retention huddle

Use a short weekly meeting to assign the most important lead, trial, and member follow-ups without turning staff work into a punitive leaderboard.

Learning objective

The team leaves with named owners, due dates, and the context required to act.

Sample language

“Today we need owners for three trial follow-ups, two quiet-member check-ins, and Saturday’s event handoff. What context does each person need, and when will we close the loop?”

Use this as a structure. Replace every bracketed field and follow the school’s approved terms and language.

Coaching points

  • Discuss people and next actions, not vanity totals.
  • Recognize documented follow-through without ranking employee worth.
  • Assign a single owner and due date for every action.
  • End by confirming what the system should show as complete next week.

Practice scenario

The team has twelve open leads, four trials this week, and several quiet members, but everyone assumes someone else is following up.

Role-play scorecard

  • Prioritized the queue
  • Assigned one owner per action
  • Shared useful context
  • Avoided a punitive leaderboard

Apply it to real work

Lead one ten-minute huddle using the current school queue.

Completion evidence: Assigned actions have owners, due dates, and recorded outcomes.
