Available now

This workflow is available in the web product.

Before you start

  • An owner account created with the email you plan to use for your school.
  • Your school name and local timezone.
  • Optional: public phone, email, address, website, and a hosted logo image URL.
1

Save the two essentials

After creating an account, enter your school name and local timezone. Those are the only required setup fields.

Public phone, email, address, website, logo, owner details, and every product module are optional. Add them now, later, or not at all.

Watch out: Use an IANA timezone such as America/Phoenix or America/New_York. Scheduling uses this value, including daylight-saving changes.
2

Choose how you want to start

Choose Members & classes for the quickest start, Guided school setup for a walkthrough, or Open Overview and decide later.

Your choice is a starting point, not a permanent tier. You can add programs, ranks, Leads & Trials, membership plans, Private Lessons, staff tools, and Growth Center workflows later.

Tip: If you are unsure, start with Members & classes. Nothing is lost, and every other area remains available from the school workspace.
3

Start simple with members and classes

Add members and the classes you want to track. Use All Members, Individuals, and Families to keep the directory familiar without duplicating member records.

Membership plans can stay private while you review them. You do not need to configure lead follow-up, public offers, ranks, growth workflows, events, or Stripe to use the member and class workflow.

4

Use guided setup when it helps

Guided setup walks through Programs & ranks, Classes, Leads & Trials, Membership plans, and Stripe. Every step is optional and can be skipped.

Use only the parts that match how your school operates. You can return from Overview whenever you are ready to add another capability.

5

Connect Stripe when you are ready to collect

Create monthly unlimited, classes-per-week, or class-pack plans. Every new plan starts private, and plans remain editable drafts until an owner syncs eligible recurring plans after the school-owned Stripe account is ready.

Stripe is optional during onboarding and afterward. Connect it only if you want Dojo Wizard to collect member tuition directly through your school-owned Stripe account; Dojo Wizard does not add a payment-processing percentage.

Finishing onboarding does not charge a member or activate Dojo Wizard platform subscription billing. A member payment starts only when an owner or manager deliberately opens that member and completes checkout with the payer’s consent.

Troubleshooting

If something looks wrong

Why did onboarding return to the first step?

The school profile has not been created yet. Save the required school name and timezone before opening later steps.

Do I have to finish every setup module?

No. Only the school name and timezone are required. Start with Members & classes, choose Guided school setup, or open Overview and explore. Every other area can be skipped and added later.

Why is the class time wrong?

Check the school timezone and, if the class has a location, that location’s timezone. The location value takes priority.
