Getting started5 minute tutorial

Set up your school

Save the two school essentials, choose a simple classes-and-billing setup or the full CRM, and add optional modules only when they are useful.

Available now

This workflow is available in the live web product. Follow the documented data controls and keep appropriate operational backups.

Before you start

  • An owner account created with the email you plan to use for your school.
  • Your school name and local timezone.
  • Optional: public phone, email, address, website, and a hosted logo image URL.
1

Save the two essentials

After creating an account, enter your school name and local timezone. Those are the only required setup fields.

Public phone, email, address, website, logo, owner details, and every product module are optional. Add them now, later, or not at all.

Watch out: Use an IANA timezone such as America/Phoenix or America/New_York. Scheduling uses this value, including daylight-saving changes.
2

Choose how you want to start

Choose Classes & billing for a focused setup, Full school CRM for the all-in-one experience, or Explore on my own to open the dashboard and decide later.

Your choice is a starting point, not a permanent tier. You can add or ignore programs, ranks, leads, intro offers, member tools, staff tools, growth workflows, and other modules at any time.

Tip: If you are unsure, start with Classes & billing. Nothing is lost, and the full CRM remains available from the dashboard.
3

Start simple with classes and billing

Add the classes you want to track, then add members and plans as you need them. A class can be created without first building programs or rank ladders.

Plans can stay private while you review them. You do not need to configure lead follow-up, public offers, ranks, staff training, events, or other CRM tools to use the core class and billing workflow.

4

Use the full CRM only when it fits

The full setup path walks through programs and ranks, schedules, lead CRM and intro offers, membership plans, and payments. Every step is optional and can be skipped.

Use only the parts that match how your school operates. You can return from the dashboard whenever you are ready to add another capability.

5

Connect Stripe when you are ready to collect

Create monthly unlimited, classes-per-week, or class-pack plans. Every new plan starts private, and plans remain editable drafts until an owner syncs eligible recurring plans after the school-owned Stripe account is ready.

Stripe is optional during onboarding and afterward. Connect it only if you want Dojo Wizard to collect member tuition directly through your school-owned Stripe account; Dojo Wizard does not add a payment-processing percentage.

Finishing onboarding does not charge a member or activate Dojo Wizard platform subscription billing. A member payment starts only when an owner or manager deliberately opens that member and completes checkout with the payer’s consent.

Troubleshooting

If something looks wrong

Why did onboarding return to the first step?

The school profile has not been created yet. Save the required school name and timezone before opening later steps.

Do I have to finish every setup module?

No. Only the school name and timezone are required. Start with Classes & billing, choose the Full school CRM, or open the dashboard and explore. Every other module can be skipped and added later.

Why is the class time wrong?

Check the school timezone and, if the class has a location, that location’s timezone. The location value takes priority.
